Last week, 4,000 participants from 140 nations gathered in Dubai for the annual World Government Summit.

The 2019 Summit focused on “climate change.” That’s the refurbished name for “global warming.” I suppose they felt they needed to refocus the name for the crisis when the winters started getting colder and the amount of arctic ice started increasing.

One of the featured speakers was the actor, Harrison Ford. I’m not certain whether it’s his portrayal of Indiana Jones in the “Raiders of the Lost Ark” series or his turns as Han Solo in the “Star Wars” films that qualified him to speak to the world about global warming.

Ford did, however, deliver some eye-opening information in a video promoting the Summit. I suppose he would know this stuff since he pretended to be a guy from the future in some of his movies. He apparently feels he’s seen the results of global warming firsthand. He said, “What does living in a 4-degrees-warmer world look like? Fresh water shortages… Unprecedented fires. Worldwide destruction.”

Then he hinted at how to fix it. He said, “It’s up to you and me to act now to face the greatest moral crisis of our time.”

I’m a little confused. For years, the global warming enthusiasts have been screaming that the “science is settled!” Former Vice-President Al Gore even created a slide show to convince us that all of the world’s scientists were in complete agreement that we’re on the verge of a global apocalypse.

Aren’t the scientists the ones who have been screaming, “The end is near!”? That’s what Mr. Gore says. And now, Mr. Ford reveals to the world that it’s not a scientific crisis, after all. It’s a MORAL CRISIS! Well, now that we know that, surely we can fix it. Just get enough people with good morals together and we can beat global warming! Simple.

The problem is, “moral crisis” is a phrase borrowed from religion. That tells me that the proponents of man-made climate change are pushing it as a religion. They divide the world into two groups: believers and unbelievers. They call unbelievers “climate deniers.” (Frankly, I don’t understand the terminology. I don’t know one unbeliever who denies that there is a climate! On top of that, most of us don’t even deny that it’s changing. We just don’t believe that man is changing it and that raising taxes and putting more bureaucrats to work will fix it. Most probably, it’s the sun that’s doing it, anyway.)

But a few reputable publications, such as Scientific American, are beginning to get a little critical of the movement. A recent article in that magazine noted, “This is how we sometimes talk about climate change: we’re doomed, the apocalypse is coming, the end of the world is nigh.” Doesn’t that sound like a stereotypical hellfire and brimstone preacher?

So how should the people of earth deal with this soon-to-arrive global apocalypse? Well, California’s bureaubrains decided to ban plastic straws! At one point, the California Assembly considered sending waiters and waitresses to jail if they gave a straw to a customer who didn’t ask for one.

Thankfully, restaurant owners now only face small fines if their wait staffs go rogue and break the law by giving a customer an unsolicited plastic sipping tube.

The dubious logic that inspired the law was that by limiting the use of plastic straws in California, it would keep straws from clogging up the Pacific Ocean.

It seems to me the problem with this line of reasoning is that it’s, well, stupid! In the United States, most plastic straws end up in landfills, not in the ocean. And of those straws that do wind up in the water, most come from fast food restaurants. And the California law doesn’t actually address the problem of fast food straws.

To me, that’s a little like arresting the bank teller instead of the bank robber.

On top of all of that, it turns out the statistic that was used to stir up the brouhaha — that Americans use more than 500 million straws per day — was based on the unscientific, unverified, but oft-repeated guess of a 9-year-old in 2011! If you don’t believe me, just ask The New York Times. It finally decided to investigate the claim and discovered the embarrassing truth.

But I suppose the whole point of the law is similar to the point of many of our senseless laws: to make it appear that our governments are doing something. Even if it’s really “nothing” dressed up as “something.”

But irrational fear of plastic straws is nothing compared to the fear of global warming. Back in 2008, media mogul (which qualifies him as a climate expert, I’m guessing) Ted Turner warned us, “We’ll be eight degrees hotter in 30 or 40 years and basically none of the crops will grow… Most of the people will have died and the rest of us will be cannibals.”

Maybe those walking dead shows aren’t so far-fetched, after all!

But it gets worse. USA Today reported last year that “Global warming could be twice as warm as current climate models predict.” I guess that means we’ll become cannibals in half the time Mr. Turner predicted!

The Club of Rome is an environmentalist think tank and advocacy group. It is one of the prime organizations that the United Nations depends on for its information about climate change.

Back in 1972, The Club of Rome published a book, Limits to Growth, that outlined the dire predicament of the world. It popularized the fear of overpopulation and was extremely influential in bureaucratic circles.

Seventeen years later, in 1989, Ronald Bailey, the science editor of Forbes magazine, evaluated the accuracy of those predictions. He wrote that the book was “as wrong-headed as it is possible to be… Limits to Growth predicted that at 1972 rates of growth the world would run out of gold by 1981, mercury by 1985, tin by 1987, zinc by 1990, petroleum by 1992, copper lead, and natural gas by 1993.”

It’s now 47 years since The Club of Rome made those dramatic predictions. We have yet to run out of any of those things! Have we even come close to running out of them? No. Yet today the United Nations still consults with The Club of Rome on environmental matters.

In 2015, the European Space Agency (ESA) revealed that in 2013 and 2014, arctic ice increased by as much as 33%. Did you hear that in the mainstream media? Or did you hear just the opposite, that arctic ice is melting at an alarming rate?

But none of that matters to true believers.

One of them, U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), recently declared, “The world is gonna (sic) end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change.” (I’m not sure which calendar she’s using. Maybe she’s still consulting that old Mayan calendar!)

Presidential candidate Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) is ready to ban cows. He recently said, “This planet simply can’t contain billions of people consuming meat the same way America does….”

If you remember, Senator Booker is famous for his “I am Spartacus” moment at the Brett Kavanaugh hearings. Perhaps he is now having his “I am Chicken Little” moment!

The point of all of this, and my obvious cynicism, is that this near-hysteria, much of which is completely unfounded and most of which is ill-informed, opens us up to hasty solutions that are drastic, draconian, and, ultimately, dystopian.

If we are convinced that the earth is about to ignite into a fireball if we don’t do something fast, then we grasp at convenient, ill-conceived “solutions” that are nothing more than disguised power grabs.

Take, for instance, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s “Green New Deal.” After warning us that the world is going to end in a dozen years, her proposed “solution,” which has been essentially endorsed by the Democrat Party, implies that we can avoid this impending destruction if only the U.S. government will provide, free-of-charge, jobs, family and medical leave, vacations, retirement security, high-quality education, clean air and water and access to nature, high-quality health care, healthy food, affordable housing, an economic environment free of monopolies, and economic security for all who are unable or unwilling to work. (By the way, that’s not a typo. She wants the government to provide economic security for those unwilling to work.)

Now, I’m not an environmental scientist, but I don’t see very many things on that list that actually address climate change problems.

To her credit, though, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez does offer some proposals to do that. She proposes to end fossil fuel use in ten years. That means the end of the petroleum and coal industries. She suggests we rebuild or completely refurbish every building in the United States to make them greener. “Every building” includes your house. She wants to end air travel. Her solution is to “build out highspeed rail at a scale where air travel stops becoming necessary.” (I’m sure the cruise line industry loves that one. Maybe stock in the Greyhound bus company will soar now. But if you’re going to travel to Hawaii, Europe, Asia, well, basically anywhere east, west, north, or south of the USA, then you need to ask your boss for a lot more vacation time!)

Since the Green New Deal was announced, California has decided to end its own highspeed rail boondoggle. It was building a highspeed train line between Los Angeles and San Francisco, but it just became too expensive. It was originally projected to cost at least $77 billion, but it was turning out to be a lot more. And when a California governor decides that something useless is too expensive, that tells you that it must be absolutely impossible to justify.

The bottom line on all of this is that almost all of the man-made climate change panic is a strategy devised to facilitate the rise of supra-national governing authorities. Pope Francis gave the game away when he called for “global regulatory norms… to impose obligations and prevent unacceptable actions.”

But he realized that the globalist elite could not depend on individual governments to do their bidding. That’s why he called for a “higher agency.” Pope Francis said, “Continuity is essential, because policies related to climate change and environmental protection cannot be altered with every change of government.”

In democracies, a “change of government” usually means an election. But to globalists, elections can be dangerous. The people might not go along with their plans to subvert the nations and enslave their citizens.

He’s joined in this plot by the United Nations, of course, which continues to push its infamous “2030 Agenda.” It sets laudable goals, such as “End poverty in all its forms everywhere.” But it proposes dubious remedies: “Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns.” That means the government must control consumption, such as what we buy, eat, wear, drive, where we live, even the temperature at which we set our thermostats.

Attempting to end poverty by allowing government to control consumption is called “communism.” And that is what much of the environmental movement seeks to achieve.

Simply put, the earth will not be saved from environmental destruction by the power of big government. In fact, the worst polluters on the planet have been and continue to be socialist and communist governments. Respect for private property and God’s creation are essential elements to conservation. Those elements are missing in the environmental movement because of its integral partnership with socialists. Now it has become the latest excuse to seize property, redistribute wealth, and empower government.

Secular humanists promise utopias, but they only deliver dystopias. And all the while, they mock Christians for believing in “pie in the sky” promises.

And while it’s true that some ministers and spiritual leaders have misused the promise of heaven, that does not diminish its reality. God’s promise remains true.

In John 14:1, Jesus said, “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.” (NKJV) Almost 90% of Americans believe in God.

But Jesus said not to stop there. “You believe in God,” He said, “believe also in Me.”

If you know Jesus, and if you trust Him, think about the very next verse. He said, “In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you.” (John 14:2 NKJV)

Here, Jesus assures us of heaven’s reality. In fact, He gave us His personal guarantee: “If it were not so, I would have told you.”

If you trust Jesus, then you can trust in heaven. If it weren’t the glorious, fantastic place we’ve heard about, He says He would have told us. He wouldn’t allow us to build our lives on a false hope.

The Last Days Timeline According to Jesus

The Last Days Began The Day The Holy Spirit Falls Upon The Church  

‘In the last days,’ God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.” Acts 2:17 (NLT2)

But When is the End of the Last Days?

“Men of Galilee,” they said, “why are you standing here staring into heaven? Jesus has been taken from you into heaven, but someday he will return from heaven in the same way you saw him go!” Acts 1:11 (NLT2)

 

Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives. His disciples came to him privately and said, “Tell us, when will all this happen? What sign will signal your return and the end of the world?” Matthew 24:3 (NLT2)

AT FIRST ONLY  BIRTH PANGS

But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come. Matthew 24:8 (NLT2)

  • False messiahs deceiving many people
  • Many wars or threats of war between nations and empires
  • Famines
  • Earthquakes across the world

 

Matthew 24:4-7 (NLT2)

4  Jesus told them, “Don’t let anyone mislead you,

5  for many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah.’ They will deceive many.

6  And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately.

7  Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world.

  • “… the end won’t follow immediately.”

 

THEN WORLDWIDE PERSECUTION

  • Government persecution: arrests, harassment, and even capital punishment for following Jesus
  • Worldwide hated by the people of the world
  • Because of fear, many church people will turn away from Christ, just like Judas,  and hate and betray Christians
  • Many deceived preachers will arise and preach a false gospel and create fake churches of unrepentant sinners
  • Sin and hatred will overcome the church, society, and the nations
  • The true church will  be oppressed and dwindle. Few will endure to the end and preach the hated message of repentance and salvation through Jesus
  • But the faithful Christians will endure and preach the Good News and all nations will hear the truth
  • “… then the end will come.”

 

Matthew 24:9-14 (NLT2)

9  Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers.

10  And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other.

11  And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people.

12  Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold.

13  But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

14  And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come.

 

AFTER CENTURIES OF THE LAST DAYS BIRTH PANGS THE SIGNS OF THE END WILL COME

Matthew 24:15-22 (NLT2)

15  The day is coming when you will see what Daniel the prophet spoke about—the sacrilegious object that causes desecration standing in the Holy Place.” (Reader, pay attention!)

16  “Then those in Judea must flee to the hills.

17  A person out on the deck of a roof must not go down into the house to pack.

18  A person out in the field must not return even to get a coat.

19  How terrible it will be for pregnant women and for nursing mothers in those days.

20  And pray that your flight will not be in winter or on the Sabbath.

21  For there will be greater anguish than at any time since the world began. And it will never be so great again.

22  In fact, unless that time of calamity is shortened, not a single person will survive. But it will be shortened for the sake of God’s chosen ones.

  • The first future signal revealing the end days is the day Antichrist places an idol inside the Holy of Holies of the Jewish Temple
  • This event triggers such violence that many are immediately killed in Israel
  • God intervenes to stop the slaughter “it will be shortened for the sake of God’s chosen ones.”

 

THEN IN DESPERATION CHRISTIANS WILL SEEK A MIRACULOUS ESCAPE FROM ANNIHILATION

Matthew 24:23-28 (NLT2)

23  Then if anyone tells you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah,’ or ‘There he is,’ don’t believe it.

24  For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God’s chosen ones.

25  See, I have warned you about this ahead of time.

26  “So if someone tells you, ‘Look, the Messiah is out in the desert,’ don’t bother to go and look. Or, ‘Look, he is hiding here,’ don’t believe it!

27  For as the lightning flashes in the east and shines to the west, so it will be when the Son of Man comes.

28  Just as the gathering of vultures shows there is a carcass nearby, so these signs indicate that the end is near.

  • Next the desperate Christians will be flooded again with a new wave of miracle working charismatic preachers offering false hope by following them to secret hiding places where they will meet God
  • Warning: Jesus says look up, when He comes the whole world will see it
  • these signs indicate that the end is near.

 

FINALLY, CHRIST RETURNS, SENDS OUT HIS ANGELS TO GATHER THE CHRISTIANS, AND…

Matthew 24:29-31 (NLT2)

29  Immediately after the anguish of those days, the sun will be darkened, the moon will give no light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.

30  And then at last, the sign that the Son of Man is coming will appear in the heavens, and there will be deep mourning among all the peoples of the earth. And they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31  And he will send out his angels with the mighty blast of a trumpet, and they will gather his chosen ones from all over the world—from the farthest ends of the earth and heaven.

  • Immediately after the days of the two warning signs, Christ’s supernatural return blows a hole in space effecting the sun, moon, and throwing meteors to the earth
  • The whole world is shocked and mourning realizing their hate and rebellion against God is over because He has come to bring justice and pour out His wrath
  • But first He rescues His Christians by sending out angels with a trumpet blast to gather them from one end of the sky to the other, and even the dead in Christ from heaven will join them
  • “Immediately after the anguish of those days, … and then at last, the sign that the Son of Man”

 

PAY ATTENTION TO ALL THE SIGNS BECAUSE YOU MAY BE THE LAST GENERATION

Matthew 24:32-36 (NLT2)

32  “Now learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its branches bud and its leaves begin to sprout, you know that summer is near.

33  In the same way, when you see all these things, you can know his return is very near, right at the door.

34  I tell you the truth, this generation will not pass from the scene until all these things take place.

35  Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.

36  “However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows.

  • The last days have lasted almost 2000 years but when the end days signs appear you will have no time to prepare, so always be ready
  • Jesus guarantees the generation who sees the end days signs will be the last generation
  • But remember no one knows the day or hour the end times signs will appear and Christ returns
  • “when you see all these things, you can know his return is very near, right at the door.”

 

AT THE END, THE WORLD WILL BE SO DECEIVED IT WILL HAVE NO CLUE THEIR JUDGMENT IS NEAR

Matthew 24:37-39 (NLT2)

37  When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah’s day.

38  In those days before the flood, the people were enjoying banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat.

39  People didn’t realize what was going to happen until the flood came and swept them all away. That is the way it will be when the Son of Man comes.

 

  • Noah was warned and prepared many years for the flood and lived like there would be no tomorrow
  • The whole world around Noah lived like there was no danger whatsoever and tomorrow would always come
  • Soon the final judgment day will come and find the whole world lost in sin, ignoring all the warnings from the church, and suffering the eternal judgment of hell “when the Son of Man comes.”

The United States is quickly becoming a different place. Many of the things we took for granted just a few short years ago may no longer be true.

Here’s one: Bipartisan support for Israel in the United States Congress.

Recently, the Senate passed a bill. It’s called “The Strengthening America’s Security in the Middle East Act.” The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) notes that the bill, “contains critical pro-Israel provisions.”

According to AIPAC, “These provisions… pledge security assistance to Israel and clarify that state and local governments have the right to counter boycotts of Israel.”

The bill passed by a vote of 77-23. All but one Republican voted for it, along with 25 Democrats.

At first, that sounds like US support for Israel remains strong and bipartisan. But let’s look closer.

Of the seven Democratic senators who have indicated (or declared) that they will run for President in 2020, six voted “no” on this bill.

Only Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota voted “yes.” “Nay” votes were cast by Senators Cory Booker, Sherrod Brown, Kirsten Gillibrand, Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, and Elizabeth Warren.

In the past, all of these candidates have expressed some degree of support for Israel. All of them say they personally oppose the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel.

So why are they now afraid to put their names on the line?

One reason could be the growing strength of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) in Democratic circles. The ACLU is supposedly non-partisan. But it is, in fact, a major power-broker within the Democrat Party and the ACLU consistently fights anything that might weaken the BDS movement.

Apparently the six Democratic senators who voted against Israel fear the ACLU more than they fear their Jewish constituencies.

But the ACLU is not the only voice against Israel in Democratic circles.

Believe it or not, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is the rock star of the Democrat Party. Few politicians have garnered so much attention so quickly. Tom Perez, the chairman of the Democratic National Committee has called Ocasio-Cortez, “the future of our party.” (That probably says more about the current state of the Democrat Party than it does about the young Representative’s potential for the future.)

A member of the Democratic Socialists of America, Ocasio-Cortez has denounced Israel’s “occupation of Palestine.” She called Israel’s defense of its border with Gaza a “massacre.”

Though she has admitted that she is “not an expert” on the Middle East, it apparently doesn’t matter. Democrat Party stalwarts and leaders are jumping on the bandwagon to support every proposal she throws out. Apparently they fear the Millenials that idolize her more than they fear the rank and file members of the Party.

But she’s just one of the rising stars of the Democrat Party that are increasingly casting Israel as the Middle East’s central villain.

Ilhan Omar is the new Representative from Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District. Born in Mogadishu, Somalia, she is a Muslim and is undeniably (and arrogantly) anti-Semitic. She once tweeted: “Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel.”

When she was a member of the Minnesota legislature, she openly supported the BDS movement. Then, during her campaign for Congress, she claimed to be against BDS. Now that she has been elected and seated, she is once again for BDS.

In the recent past, Omar indicated that she believes that because Israel identifies itself as a Jewish state, it cannot be a democracy.

Just last week, an Omar tweet implied that Jews are bribing Congressmen in order to get them to support Israel. That’s the old trope that outsider Jews control governments with their massive, but hidden, wealth.

When Republicans and Jewish Democrats complained loudly, the House Democratic leadership finally scolded her and demanded she apologize. Which she did. Sort of. Then quickly went back to her insinuations.

As an indication of where the Democrat Party is headed, Speaker Nancy Pelosi has placed Rep. Omar on the House Foreign Affairs Committee. This radical rising star is now in a position to help mold US foreign policy.

Last week, Israel’s Strategic Affairs Ministry released a report called “Terrorists in Suits.” The report exposes more than 100 links between terrorist groups and leading BDS organizations.

It shows how the terrorists are exploiting “social justice” organizations around the world, especially those associated with the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions movement.

Writing in the Jerusalem Post, Liat Collins says, “Connecting the dots, you can trace a line from ‘terrorists in suits’ to terrorists in suicide vests.”

4il.org is a quasi-official intelligence website in Israel. It notes how prominent terrorist organizations are “utilizing a network of NGOs (non-governmental organizations) promoting boycotts against Israel as an additional tactic in their ultimate goal of dismantling the State of Israel.”

It continues, “The report documents how boycott organizations and terrorist designated organizations raise finances together, share the same personnel…. Contrary to popular belief, these officials have not abandoned their support for terrorism, but, instead, continue to maintain organizational, financial, and active ties with terrorist groups.”

And now we know that the young Democrat Party stars who are “the future of the party” support these “Terrorists in Suits.”

Also on this week’s program, I will discuss a disturbing trend in the church world. Actually, it’s a trend I warned about almost 50 years ago in my book, The Late Great Planet Earth.

I had in mind two converging and complementary trends: One toward apostasy and the other toward modern ecumenism.

When I say “ecumenism,” I am not referring to traditional ecumenism, such as Baptists communing with Catholics. I’m talking about Muslim imams preaching in Christian pulpits. Or church women’s groups inviting Wiccan priestesses to speak.

I’m talking about so-called Christian ministers participating in rallies with Satanists, such as the rally at the Arkansas state capitol when Satanists were protesting the installation of a Ten Commandments memorial.

There are churches in America whose primary goal is to show everyone how open-minded they are. But when they do that, they abandon the true message of the Gospel. And Peter articulated that true message succinctly. He said, “There is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12 NASB)

Jesus Himself made it even clearer: “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.” (John 14:6 NASB)

If a minister or denomination rejects these essential Christian doctrines, then unity with non-Christians becomes easy. Throw away the core doctrines of the Gospel, and you can embrace everything else.

And that’s what we’re seeing today. The meteoric rise of humanism. The embrace of all-inclusive Hinduism by many of our cultural and academic elites.

It comes from the same mindset that uses the now-popular terms, “your truth” and “my truth.” That implies that truth varies for different people. That is a lie from Satan.

From that perspective, imagine how attractive it is to find a religion that says, “Don’t worry about it. Everyone’s right. We will all go to heaven!”

Thousands of years ago, Bible prophecies warned that these attitudes would characterize the last days of the Age of Grace. 1 Timothy 4:1 says, “The Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons.” (NASB) 2 Timothy 4:3 warns, “The time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires.” (NASB)

Folks, that time is here.

Don’t be fooled by the smooth, soothing words of Satan from the mouths of many of the religious leaders of our day. Stay in God’s Word. Stay prayed up. And stay alert and sensitive to the prompting of the Holy Spirit. If we depend on Him, He will help us stay firmly planted on the rock of truth and we’ll not be misled by the whims of the moment.

I doubt he fully appreciates it, but President Donald Trump has performed a valuable service for scores of millions of Americans. He has opened their eyes to the insidious atmosphere of deception that pervades America and, indeed, the world.

When he takes on the mainstream media and constantly points out the daily examples of “fake news”; when he exposes the bald-faced lies of those who promote the “virtues” of socialism; when he boldly proclaims late-term abortion to be what it is — infanticide or homicide — and not the benign disposal of fetal tissue the liberals proclaim; when he points out that the multi-national pacts such as The Trans-Pacific Partnership or the Paris Climate Accord are nothing less attempts by globalist forces to gain control of the world without the approval of the world’s citizens; when he calls to account those on the Left who now oppose border security and support for Israel and the sanctity of marriage and the protection of the American worker when, just a few short years ago, they approved and promoted all of those things, President Trump is doing what both Jesus and the Apostle Paul did. He is warning us that we are being misled. We are being deceived.

We are being told one thing when the reality is something far different. And in every case, the ones telling the lies know perfectly well that they are lying, but they don’t care. To them, the end justifies the means. And the ultimate end is the defeat of God and the victory of Satan over this world.

I know that may sound a bit cosmic and dramatic, but it is no less true.

How do I know that? I know that because Jesus Himself understood that the atmosphere of deception would be so great in the final days before His return that He took great pains to warn all believers to pay special attention to the danger.

When His disciples asked Him to tell them how they would recognize the end of the age, the first words out of His mouth were, “See to it that no one misleads you….” (Matthew 24:4 NASB)

In 2 Timothy 3:13, Paul warns that in the last days, “Evil men and imposters will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.”

Just think how only a few short years ago, most Americans (and most of the world’s citizens) blithely accepted as truth whatever the press and our leaders told us. Now we know that, in fact, disturbingly little of what the mainstream media or the politicians tell us is true. And if it is true, they are only telling us the portion of it that furthers their ambitions.

With the birth of the internet and the explosion of social media, the curtain has been pulled back on the controlling powers in the world. Their constant, malicious deceptions have been exposed. That’s why we now see such vitriol and such desperate and unreasoning opposition to anything and everything that smacks of Judeo-Christian values.

And even though Donald Trump is not a man of God, there is no doubt in my mind that he is God’s man for this time. His willingness to speak the truth and bear the consequences has performed a valuable service for the kingdom of God. Like a lightning rod, he has drawn down upon himself the wrath of the forces of evil in this world. And by striking so viciously at him, they have exposed themselves and their true agendas.

He has caused much of the world to realize that it is being misled and has been deviously misled for decades!

Are we at last waking up? Is it too late?

Like a splash of cold water in the face of a sleeping man, events of the last few months — even the last few days — have been a jolt to our sense of well-being. We have learned that for many millions of people in America, and especially those on the Left, the presumption of innocence and the guarantee of due process are just empty words. We have learned that the convenience of the mother outweighs the rights of the child she carries. We have learned that life in the womb is not sacred to the Left, in fact, we are now learning that new life outside the womb may not be sacred, either. And I suspect that soon we will learn that life at the end of one’s adulthood isn’t really sacred to the Left.

We have learned that some of our most respected leaders actually believe that we are incapable of making our own decisions and guiding our own lives. They are taking steps to ensure that we will soon lose those rights. If their plans succeed, our rights of self-determination will be ceded to the government to determine how we earn our livings, how much of our money we can keep, where, when, and if we can receive medical care, how we can educate, discipline, or train our children, what words we can use, what thoughts we are allowed to think and express, when, where, and if we can worship, and who or what we are allowed to worship.

Sadly, friends, I am not overstating anything I’ve just written. In fact, some of these things are frighteningly close to becoming reality. Many of them will be campaign themes in the upcoming 2020 national elections!

Censorship, something most older Americans never worried about in America, is now being practiced daily. In fact, many younger Americans are ignorantly demanding it. Socialism is the new mantra of the Left and the Democrat Party. Sexual fluidity is bearing down on us like a runaway train. The public proclamation of Judeo-Christian values is quickly becoming anathema to public acceptance when, not so long ago, it was a requirement for public approval.

In short, we are at the edge of the precipice. And most of us didn’t even realize that we were approaching a cliff!

That’s because Satan has been continually and skillfully wielding one of his strongest weapons upon the world: deception. And he has been successfully practicing it since the Garden of Eden. He’s so good at it, that he caused Eve, then Adam, to bite!

On this week’s program, I am going to discuss this idea further. I’ll even give you a few examples from the news of the past few weeks and months. I am titling this special edition: “Day of Deception.”

It’s late, but not too late, yet. We still have time to wake up and shake off the chains of slumber. But we must do it now! And we must ask God to rouse His Church to the reality of what is happening around us. We must ask Him to help us realize that we are being deceived and to help us recognize the truth and pursue it with all our hearts.

Education Nightmare By Hal Lindsey

With school restarting across America, this seems like a good time to reexamine the fruit of our current educational efforts. Here are a few examples;

On Sunday August 12th, young people marched through the streets of Washington, DC.  They said they were there to fight “hate.”  As they marched, they chanted, “No border, no wall, no USA at all!”

I mentioned last week the newest member of the New York Times editorial board.  Her words are those of an out-and-out racist — openly judging people based on the color of their skin.  It’s apparently okay with the New York Times because she focuses her racial hate on white people.  She has also advocated the killing of all men.
