The Coming Wrath of God (audio/video)

God is the creator of everything, and His laws are justly placed over all His domain including every person who ever lived and will live. As real as the government of each nation has control and authority over its inhabitants, God has authority over everyone. His laws are just and for the good of all mankind. Like traitors who rebel against their own nation, the vast majority of this world will not bow to His authority.

Romans 3:5-20 (NKJV) 5 But if our unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unjust who inflicts wrath? (I speak as a man.) 6 Certainly not! For then how will God judge the world? 7 For if the truth of God has increased through my lie to His glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner? 8 And why not say, “Let us do evil that good may come”?–as we are slanderously reported and as some affirm that we say. Their condemnation is just. 9 What then? Are we better than they? Not at all. For we have previously charged both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin.

10 As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one; 11 There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God. 12 They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one.” 13 “Their throat is an open tomb; With their tongues they have practiced deceit”; “The poison of asps is under their lips”; 14 “Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.” 15 “Their feet are swift to shed blood; 16 Destruction and misery are in their ways; 17 And the way of peace they have not known.” 18 “There is no fear of God before their eyes.” 19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die in our place to pay for all our lawbreaking and rebellion. His blood fully paid for all people’s crimes, legally giving everyone the opportunity to become an adopted child of God. But, those who refuse must be brought to justice for such grave criminal activity. None are right before God, all are convicted criminals. Soon Christ will actually return to earth and this time bring judgment to all sinners. God’s word warns us all that when that day comes it will be capital punishment for the wicked and the beginning of heaven on earth for the saints.

The ancient Bible prophets foretold that Jerusalem will become the focal point of the world. It is. by Hal Lindsey

The ancient Bible prophets foretold that Jerusalem will become the focal point of the world. It is.

We know the nations of the world will one day gather against it. And we know that, eventually, many of those nations will coalesce into formidable blocs that will oppose each other. Those groups of like-minded nations will become enemies that go to war against each other.

The Bible says that it will culminate in a final conflict that the world has come to know as “Armageddon.”

“Armageddon” looms over the world. It’s never far from the thoughts of even unbelievers.

Remember “Carmageddon” to describe several significant freeway traffic disruptions? Or “Snowmaggedon” to describe a major snow disaster in Canada?

The world has a similar fascination with the word “apocalypse.”

Despite an overwhelming lack of Bible literacy, fascination with Armageddon continues to grow. People seem to sense that something huge and awful will soon befall our planet, but few know any specifics.

The Bible, on the other hand, gives a great deal of specific information about both the battle of Armageddon and the events surrounding it. Daniel 11 gives us one of the most compelling accounts.

There have been but the merest glimpses of Armageddon-like violence in world history. Dresden, Nagasaki, Hiroshima, to name a few. The real thing will be dreadful beyond words. The Bible predicts the number of deaths during that time as like nothing else imaginable.

The world system will fall apart in almost every way, starting with the totalitarian rule of the Antichrist and the False Prophet. War will rage with all the fury modern technology makes possible.

Never before in history could humanity do to itself what the Bible describes in the last 3 1/2 years before Jesus Christ returns to earth.

But now, it can do just that. And in today’s newspaper you can read the specific names of the nations described by the ancient prophets as they begin to align themselves in perfect accordance with what the Bible predicts.

Which can only mean one thing: the “time of the end” described to Daniel by the angel Gabriel is upon us.

If you are not ready for the sudden appearing of Jesus Christ to call away all true believers, then don’t hesitate to accept the full gift of pardon that His death on Calvary purchased for you. And if you have received His pardon and follow Him, then now is the time to make certain your family, your friends, and those around you have heard the Good News and have had a chance to prepare themselves, too.

This week, I’ll give you an overview of the run-up to Armageddon. You will recognize all of the players and be stunned by how close those days may be.

The Bible predicts that in the future Israel will be subject to the rage of the nations as never before. News from Hal Lindsey Media Ministries

The Bible predicts that in the future Israel will be subject to the rage of the nations as never before. In fact, it predicts that one day “all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it.” (Zechariah 12:3 NASB)

In that same passage of scripture, the prophet warns that there will be a “siege… against Jerusalem….” (Zechariah 12:2b NASB) The world has not yet laid siege against Jerusalem, but the anger that will culminate then is already building now.

Throughout modern history, there has been much antisemitism. However, from AD 70 to 1948, there were Jews, but no Israel. As in other prophetic scenarios, the reestablishment of Israel makes antisemitism a meaningful sign of the end of the Age of Grace.

After the Nazis murdered six million Jews, most of the non-Muslim world retreated from antisemitism. Or institutionally suppressed it. That lasted several decades.

King Solomon once wrote: “…there is nothing new under the sun.” (Ecclesiastes 1:9c NASB) Today, the echoes of Nazi hate are again being heard in the western world.

Recently, eight prominent members of Britain’s Labour Party resigned from their party. They did so in protest of the new rise of antisemitism within the party.

Luciana Berger is one of the Members of Parliament (MP) who resigned. She wrote: “I cannot remain in a party that I have come to the sickening conclusion is institutionally anti-Semitic.”

Other Labour members called her a “disruptive Zionist” who supported a “murdering government.” A well-known Labour leader, Margaret Tyson, called the Israelis, “…murdering Zionest (sic) bastards. Their NAZI masters have taught them well.”

Joan Ryan is another MP who resigned in protest. She said, “The Labour Party under Jeremy Corbyn has become infected with the scourge of anti-Jewish racism.”

Corbyn is the Labour Party leader. He is a fierce critic of all things Israel. He has a long history with antisemitic groups.

The Guardian newspaper reported: “Some of Labour’s most influential figures are urgently warning Jeremy Corbyn to change his approach to antisemitism… as more senior politicians reveal they have already decided to quit the party.”

But Corbyn says he plans to change nothing. Since his rise to power in 2015, long hidden antisemitism within the Labour Party has been coming out of the woodwork. One member of Corbyn’s “shadow cabinet” has suggested that the world relocate Israel to the United States. Another, the former Mayor of London Ken Livingstone, defended that proposal by declaring that Hitler had been a Zionist!

Some of these MPs are obviously nut jobs, but that doesn’t make them any less dangerous. In fact, with the deep political troubles facing the Conservative Party because of Prime Minister Theresa May’s lousy handling of Brexit, Jeremy Corbyn may be within reach of becoming Britain’s next prime minister!

And that scares many British Jews. Last year, three major Jewish newspapers published a joint article. They warned of “the existential threat to Jewish life in this country that would be posed by a Jeremy Corbyn-led government.”

But that existential threat is not limited to the United Kingdom. Last week, The Atlantic published an article headlined, “Europe’s Ubiquitous Anti-Semitism.” Even the long-running “yellow vest” protests in France have been usurped by radicals who are trying to infuse them with hatred for French Jews.

Last year, the number of antisemitic acts in France surged by 74%. And on February 19, vandals defaced 80 graves in a Jewish cemetery with painted swastikas.

Since 2006, almost 50,000 Jews have fled France because of growing antisemitism.

A few days ago, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, “Anti-Zionism is the new form of anti-Semitism.”

Irwin Cotler, the former Attorney General of Canada, believes that Israel itself has become “the collective Jew among the nations.”

In other words, Israel as a nation is being treated the way individual Jews have traditionally been mistreated. Like the Jews of history, Israel is held to a different standard of conduct. And it is the continuing target of unreasonable hatred and violence.

Just as the Bible predicted.

It seems impossible that Christians could hold contempt for the people from whom our Lord arose. But millions do.

Throughout history, many church leaders believed that Jews as a race were guilty of “Deicide.” That is the killing of God the Son.

Some prominent figures in the church held horrible views of the Jew. Those views ignored the Jewish identity of Jesus. Some asserted that Jews could not even be saved. They seemed to forget that Peter, John, Paul, and other first century Apostles were Jews! In fact, the early church was Jewish!

But the Bible makes it clear that the Jews did not kill Jesus. Love did. It was His love for us that caused Jesus to willingly lay down His life as the atoning sacrifice for all mankind.

Should we hate Jews for their national role in all of this? NO! Not for a minute! Should we throw them away? NO! In Romans 1:16, the Apostle Paul wrote, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” (NASB)

That was Paul’s pattern. Even though he was an apostle to the Gentiles, when he entered a city with the gospel, he first went to the Jews. That shows ongoing love and honor.

Has God thrown Israel away? The context of Romans 11:1 leaves no doubt that he is talking about the Jews. It asks the question, then emphatically answers it: “Has God cast away His people? Certainly not!” (NKJV)

On this week’s program, I will discuss the origins of Christian antisemitism. I’ll explain how it has assisted the rise of “Replacement Theology” in today’s church world. I will also discuss the roles of various views such as Amillennialism, Premillennialism, and Postmillennialism, and explain how the different covenants of God with Israel impact the prophetic scenario.

The Clock Is Ticking. Are You Ready? By Greg Laurie

Awhile back I was getting a lot of robo calls, so I found a feature on my phone that can block them. Before long I was blocking a lot of numbers. Then someone told me, “I called you five times. Why didn’t you answer the phone?”

I was blocking people I actually wanted to hear from because I was getting messages from people I didn’t want to hear from.

In some ways that’s like a lot of people when they hear that events in our world and in our culture today are signs of the times: “Oh, give me a break! I’ve heard that before! They’ve been saying forever that Jesus is coming back, and nothing has really changed.”

Saved by grace, but… by The Daily Evidence

The Scriptures warn against preaching “another Jesus” (2 Cor. 11:4) and that Satan himself can appear to us as an “angel of light.” Joseph Smith, the founder of Mormonism, said it was an “angel” clothed in light that gave him “another testament”—which has another “gospel” entirely.

Rather than the good news that Jesus paid for our sin, this new “gospel” that the “angel” gave to Smith involves a lifelong labor to earn salvation—a salvation by works and not by faith alone. The Book of Mormon says, “For we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do” (2 Nephi 25:23, emphasis added). Spencer W. Kimball, a Mormon prophet and church president, said:

“One of the most fallacious doctrines originated by Satan and propounded by man is that man is saved alone by the grace of God; that belief in Jesus Christ alone is all that is needed for salvation.” (Miracle of Forgiveness, p. 206)

Yet the Bible makes it very clear that salvation has nothing to do with our works: “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast” (Eph. 2:8,9). Titus 3:5 says, “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us.” (Adapted from World Religions in a Nutshell.)

2 Corinthians 11:14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.
