Why is it ALWAYS the Jewish community that gets “in trouble” with socialist politicians? And not just in history — but amongst today’s far-left leaders, too. Now, NYC Mayor Bill De Blasio is apologizing after shutting down a Jewish funeral in Brooklyn. The Jewish community there gathered to mourn the loss of a prominent rabbi who passed away from COVID-19. They organized the gathering with the city and the NYPD. But De Blasio shut it down anyways. And his apology? It’s just “tough love.”
The USA may be the most “Christianized” nation the earth has ever seen, but its slide into secularism is escalating with unprecedented velocity and momentum. Why? Our culture has shifted foundations: from God’s Word to man’s words. If we are going to reach today’s culture with the gospel, we must adopt a method that takes into account this foundational change. If we continue doing what we’ve always done, ignoring the foundational issues that have changed the culture, the church will become increasingly ineffective in discipling nations for Christ.
