How Did Noah’s Flood Create the Fossil Record? – Dr. Marcus Ross

This video segment is from “Beyond Is Genesis History? Vol 1 : Rocks & Fossils,” the follow-up to our feature-length film where we explore the impact of the global Flood on the Earth. Check it out on our website: http://bit.ly/BIGH-1. Paleontologist Marcus Ross takes us on a tour of the fossil record, from the marine creepy-crawlies of the lowest Paleozoic layers up through the giant dinosaurs of the Mesozoic. He demonstrates that the fossil record reveals how different ecological communities were swept away, transported, and buried during the global Flood. After earning a BS in Earth Science from the Pennsylvania State University, Dr. Ross continued his studies with a MS in Vertebrate Paleontology from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and earned a PhD in Environmental Science (Geoscience) from the University of Rhode Island. Evidence that Noah’s Flood Formed the Fossil Record – Dr. Kurt Wise (The Paleontology of the Flood)

The fossil record can be difficult to understand. It is, however, an extremely important witness to the results of the global flood and its aftermath in the post-flood period. During the 2017 IGH Conference, Dr. Kurt Wise explored the impact of the Flood on the earth in a series of three in-depth lectures. This lecture on the “study of fossils,” the second in the series, provides a fascinating look at the nature of the fossil record. Paleontology is actually Kurt’s specialty, having received his PhD from Harvard while studying under evolutionary paleontologist Steven J. Gould. Needless to say, Kurt understands paleontology extremely well from both perspectives.
