Throughout the Bible we see God uses crisis to direct His people. For example, in the book of Genesis Joseph received a dream from God that he would become powerful and all his brothers would some day bow before him. That so angered them, and they were so evil that they plotted to kill him. But instead, they compromised and sold him into slavery. But wait, there’s more! This turned into a false imprisonment for a crime he did not do.

Each crisis pushed him closer to the fulfillment of God’s vision. It DID NOT SEEM THAT WAY TO JOSEPH!

At the end of crisis after crisis, the ex-con Joseph was appointed by the Pharaoh to be his vice president. THAT IS NOT NORMAL TODAY, anymore than it was then. It took a miracle, and God used every crisis for His will. He still works in miraculous ways to lead us through any crisis today to take us to His purposes.

As we are promised in Romans 8:28, “we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”

Things may look bleak, or even impossible to you today but do not panic, take this opportunity to cry out to God, and see how BIG God is and how much He really can be trusted.
