He is the founder of the David Horowitz Freedom Center, an organization focused on defending religious groups from totalitarian attacks, both inside and outside the country. He used to be a strong adherent of the “New Leftist” movement in the 1960s, but disavowed the communist ideology in 1972 for the intellectual consistency of neo-conservatism. He has since written numerous New York Times best-selling books, detailing the lies of liberal doctrine.
