New York Times beholden to ‘mollycoddled mini-Maoists’

The New York Times editorial board’s decision to review an op-ed by sitting US Senator Tom Cotton is a sign the once-venerable institution is not “committed to the battle of ideas,” according to Sky News host James Morrow.

The paper confirmed an article by Senator Cotton, which called for President Donald Trump to enact the Insurrection Act in order to allow the military to deal with violent protests, did not meet “the paper’s standards.”

According to the Times, around 800 staff members protested the publication of the article, arguing it endangers black staff members.

Mr Morrow said the controversy shows the divide between older journalists and their younger colleagues, who are steeped in “victimology, critical race theory and above all a culture of safety-ism.”

“The article by Tom Cotton triggered a mass meltdown of snowflakes across the New York Times newsroom.

The rank hypocrisy of these outraged, mollycoddled mini-Maoists, to say nothing of their editors, stank as badly as a New York City garbage scow at the height of summer.

“As a result of this crybaby performance on the part of New York Times kidults, and the spineless, supine weakness of their bosses, America now has less speech, and the mainstream media has even less credibility, than it did before.”
