Residents Flee Beijing Ahead of New Lockdowns; Google Gets Warning Over Censorship | Crossroads |

Beijing is now partially locked down. Many people are not allowed to enter or leave the city, schools have been suspended, and many businesses and services have been closed. Close to 70 percent of incoming and outgoing flights in Beijing have also been canceled.

Many residents in Beijing are attempting to flee the city before a full lockdown goes into place. And exclusive photos and videos obtained by The Epoch Times show long lines of people waiting to be tested for the virus. Some residents said neighborhoods were locked down so suddenly they weren’t able to prepare, and there are concerns of basic supplies.

And The Federalist, a right-leaning news website, was forced to remove its entire comment section after Google threatened to ban the platform from using its ad services. Shortly after, the FCC stepped in. Brendan Carr, head of the Federal Communications Commission, stated on Twitter that by forcing The Federalist to remove its comment section or risk losing its advertisements, “Google makes one of the strongest arguments yet for Section 230 reform.”
