A Chinese energy company, its U.S. affiliate, and the general manager of the U.S. affiliate, who is a Chinese national, have been indicted by the Department of Justice on charges relating to the alleged theft of technology from a Houston-area manufacturer. And, with the U.S. elections, there is an ongoing back and forth about how mail-in ballots should be treated. Democrats in some states have pushed to extend the deadline for accepting mail-in ballots, and to count the ballots even if the signatures don’t match. Republicans have mainly pushed to maintain existing standards on deadlines and discernment for potential fraud.
