Constitutional expert Sen. Mike Lee calls the show to give his thoughts on the upcoming SCOTUS nomination from President Trump. The senator’s pick? Amy Coney Barrett. He says her history is solid: she’s a strict constructionist, studies the text of the Constitution rather than loose interpretations, and she worked as a law clerk for Justice Scalia. And he loved her, too! The nominee that concerns Lee? Barbara Lagoa. He says the history of her devotion to the Constitution is far less known, and because of that, she is the nominee who “scares” him the most.
