‘Race politics’ making ‘tragic situation more explosive’

Sky News host Andrew Bolt says the death of George Floyd was “absolutely shocking” but what has followed since is “anarchy, hate-police rhetoric and race warfare that the Left have preached for so long”.
Mr Bolt said there is “something very sick going on … something frightening”.
He said while the death of George Floyd, an unarmed African-American man killed while in police custody was shocking, he said “media untruths” are being pushed by “journalists with agendas” over the issue of race politics in the country.
Mr Floyd died after a Minneapolis police officer knelt on his neck for more than eight minutes as he told them “I can’t breathe”.
Nationwide protests have subsequently been sparked across the country, leading to violence, the burning of buildings and further deaths and arrests.
While criticism has also been levelled towards US President Donald Trump and his response to the issue.
Mr Bolt said some of the anger to follow the death of Mr Floyd is “genuine,” but he said, “a lot of it is politics”.
He said the fact the police officer involved in the alleged incident has already been charged shows protesters want more to come from this incident.
“This is what happens when race politics picks up on a tragedy and makes it bigger, explosive”.
