The pernicious, evil influence of PRIDE is destroying America! The problem is, you are probably entrapped by your pride and GOD RESISTS THE PROUD!
Pride is a grave sin in Scripture (Isaiah 14:12-14), and it started in Heaven
“How you are fallen from heaven,
O shining star, son of the morning!
You have been thrown down to the earth,
you who destroyed the nations of the world.
13 For you said to yourself,
‘I will ascend to heaven and set my throne above God’s stars.
I will preside on the mountain of the gods
far away in the north.
14 I will climb to the highest heavens
and be like the Most High.’
Like a hated father who is rejected by his children God resists humanity (IGNORES THEM) and allows them to destroy themselves (Romans 1 – THE WRATH OF GOD)
God’s Wrath on Unrighteousness
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven AGAINST all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, PROUD, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.
Isaiah 2:11–12, 17 has a warning for all who would think more highly of themselves than they ought to think:
The eyes of the arrogant will be humbled and human pride brought low;
the Lord alone will be exalted in that day.
The Lord Almighty has a day in store for all the proud and lofty,
for all that is exalted (and they will be humbled). . . .
The arrogance of man will be brought low and human pride humbled;
the Lord alone will be exalted in that day.
Luke 12:5 FEAR GOD!
But I’ll tell you whom to fear. Fear God, who has the power to kill you and then throw you into hell. Yes, he’s the one to fear.
Do nothing about these warnings. Ignore God in your pride and do whatever you want and you will find yourself in hell!
Remember this, hell was created for the devil and his demon cohorts, but when you commit the same crime of PRIDE, God is just, and must give equal punishment. MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE! God loves you so much that He sent His only begotten Son to die in your place to justly offer eternal life to all who humble themselves, really admit their crimes (sins), and surrender to His authority.
